About a year ago I signed up for GrandCentral. It’s a service from Google that allows you to create a new phone number for yourself, and then have all calls to that number forwarded to your existing number. IT ALSO: records all your messages to your grandcentral website. IT ALSO: allows you to record conversations (think interviews for magazine articles, directions…).
So, about 6 months after i got the account, I started receiving regular calls from people who spoke a foreign language (Arabic?). At first I tried to hedge the calls by constantly answering and saying “wrong number”, now I just save the messages. This is one of my favorites, because I too wish that were were an answering machine where i could leave my grocery list and voila! Delivered right to my door! Anyhow, if you or anyone you know speaks this language, please try to translate it for me? I have many more. It could be a fun element to this tumblr!
